Summary

Trains of Time is a 2D narrative-based side scroller where you traverse through the mind of a conflicted college student named Tense. The unyielding past and terrifying future put pressure on Tense from both sides, and it's up to you to help them push through their future fears…or fall back into their stagnating past. When words won't suffice, use your fists to smash through the fears that attack Tense.

Our 3-person team’s goal with this was to make an experience that displays the inner turmoil between one's past and future that a college student can go through, and the mental process they can go through to solidify their resolve.

My Roles on this Project


Game Designer

  • Formulated the original concept and tweaked it with teammates to create a more relatable experience.

  • Incorporated combat into the narrative to help the message of the game further come across.


Producer

  • Delegated roles and tasks in order to help the team bring the idea to fruition.


Narrative Designer

  • Wrote all the dialogue.

  • Drew from personal experiences and teammates' experiences to create a character that showcased a multitude of college students' emotions.
